This category contains all feature articles, articles which are the best of the best that the Minecraft Discontinued Features Wiki has to offer.

Process

Before an article can be added to this category, the article needs to complete the nomination process. For this to occur, a discussion must be started on the articles talk page or within the Community Discord in one of the edition discussion channels, this lets people discuss whether the article should be featured or not. If a consensus is reached that the article meets the criteria to become a feature article, then the article can be added to this category.

Criteria

1. Information Complete: A featured article should contain all information about its topic that could be reasonably asked by a reader. Therefore, a featured article should have 0 Test Tags/Testboxes and 0 WIP Templates.
2. Style: A featured article should follow the Style Guide, follow reasonable conventions, be free of grammatical errors and other glitches, and appear good in light and dark mode. The article should have professionally made visuals.

Not Considered

1. Coolness: The subjective coolness factor of a discontinued feature is not a criteria for determining article quality. Any article could eventually become featured! Even a recontinued feature, very short temporary discontinued feature, or file discontinued feature.
2. Length: Some features may be explained in few words and that is fine! In fact, adding more words might hurt these articles by adding excessive rambling.
