A Temporary Discontinued Feature is a discontinued feature that can only be loaded for a certain period of time before no longer existing. The length of temporary discontinued features ranges greatly, from 0.05 seconds to 3.4 years.

Retaining

If you wish to retain these features there are a few things you'll need to do, depending on the type of feature.

  • For player potion effects the only way to retain them is to have them applied to a second account and then never logged in again. If you do log in these features become semi-observable discontinued features.
  • If the temporary feature includes an entity all you need to do is store the entity in unloaded chunks. If these chunks are loaded these features become semi-observable discontinued features.
