Warning: Third Party Level Converter
This feature requires the use of a third party level converter to be updated into a newer version of the game.

Brown wool was introduced in Beta 1.2 but was not normally obtainable until Beta 1.4, when cocoa beans were added to dungeons, allowing you to dye the wool brown. They could also spawn naturally after Beta 1.4. However, it is possible to obtain brown wool using glitches before then.

Obtaining

Light Gray Cloth must first be obtained using versions Indev 20100124-2119 to Indev 20100128. Once the world is updated, preserved data value transmutation must be used to get DV 12 on a block. This can be achieved most easily by lighting flint and steel on the same block 8 times and waiting for it to go out every time. After, a light gray wool block must be placed on the same block, to get a DV 12 light grey wool. Once that is done, the world can be updated from Beta 1.2 to Beta 1.3_01 and can be collected as an item or be left in block form.
