The Floating Islands World Type is a world type that has been removed in 1.18 Pre-release 1. To obtain it you simply need to set the world type to Floating islands. It is still accessible using custom datapacks.

Terrain

The terrain is floating islands, similar to the End dimension. You can select the biome like a single biome world.

Bugs

  • In older versions before 1.14 villages generated usually in the void.
  • Desert villages usually generated halfway into the void.
  • Desert pyramids sometimes generated on huge sandstone pillars that extended into the void.
  • Mineshafts generated in the void.
  • Strongholds sometimes generated in the void.[test]
  • The Bonus Chest sometimes generated in the void.
  • Ruined portals sometimes generated in the void.[test]
  • Mansions sometimes generated in the void.[test]
