Java Edition:Invalid Data Value Pumpkin (Item)
Invalid Data Value Pumpkins are a type of invalid data value item. Due to this item not normally having different data values, it is able to be duplicated by first throwing normal pumpkins, and then picking them up with an invalid data value pumpkin in your inventory. Invalid data values can also merge into normal pumpkins and other invalid data values, meaning that you can lose data values if you have a different data value in your inventory, and pick up another. If you want to collect all 3 variants, you must put them in a chest first before picking new data values up.
Obtaining
From 15w31a to 16w21b, Endermen must pick up a pumpkin block that is facing either north, east, or west. Pumpkins facing south have the data value of 0, which drops a standard pumpkin. Once it is picked up, the Enderman must then be killed, dropping the invalid data value pumpkin.
