In 15w46a (1.9 snapshot), a change was made so that iron golems spawn with 100% knockback resistance. Any iron golems that were spawned 15w45a (1.9 snapshot) and earlier can be knocked back.

Testing

To test an iron golem's knockback you will have to hit them. Be careful if it's a villager spawned golem as these golems will retaliate and attack the player. If the player wants to do no damage and test the iron golem the player can use a snowball or egg. To heal the iron golem after punching the player can use instant health splash potions or iron ingots in 19w41a (1.15 snapshot) and later.
