WMEDA #5

Thanks to the outstanding participation in the 5th Wiki Day Extravaganza 9/1/2021 (going near the end of 10/1/2021)! This WMEDA lasted the longest we've ever seen going over 24 hours for the first time! (can we even call it a day marathon anymore?) Plus getting a record 563 edits. A great day to bring WMEDA into the new year!

Thanks for joining the 6th Wiki Day Extravaganza 20/1/2021 (going into 21/1/2021)! WMEDA has now been a tradition that has lasted for half a year which is incredible. This is also the WMEDA in partner with the Bedrock Wiki, which have been added to the statistics. I think we were a little worn out from the last WMEDA that lasted nearly 2 day event so no new records but we still managed to organize all the version lists by end version and work on the timeline spreadsheet!

Thanks for joining the 11th Wiki Day Extravaganza 31 July, 2021! We were very distracted during this WMEDA and somehow ended up watching Dhar Mann videos because of Kream. But the version range on the silk touch method for IDV log items was discovered during the event. (These stats are very rough estimates)

Thanks for joining the 12th Wiki Day Extravaganza 28 August, 2021! User:Scam.net was able to upload compressed images to save storage space for the wiki and so reduce loading time. Due to these reuploads we hit a record number of files uploaded during WMEDA!

Thanks for joining the 14th Wiki Day Extravaganza 30 October, 2021! This was our first WMEDA with the new namespaces for Bedrock & Console Edition on our wiki! Unfortunately, this WMEDA was poorly attended possibly due to our Minecraft Live viewing event that also happened in October and the fact this was held on Halloween weekend. The mod team has worked on several changes to improve for WMEDA #15!

WMEDA #15: New Namespaces

Thanks for joining the 15th Wiki Day Extravaganza 13 November, 2021 (going into 14 November, 2021)! This was our first themed WMEDA with the theme "New Namespaces!" We were able to accomplish a lot of technical fixes for errors that had risen from the namespace split and created new pages on the bedrock edition namespace. Additionally, we got a 1 minute guest visit from RaysWorks during the WMEDA! Also, Bayugoon and molneya were able to get the MCDF Bot running on the Discord during the event. Here are the stats:

WMEDA #16: WIP

Thank you everyone who joined the 16th Wiki Day Extravaganza 11 December, 2021 (going all the way to 15 December, 2021)! This WMEDA's theme was WIP, where a focus was cleaning up many WIP section and WIP pages. We got a new record length, more than doubling the old duration! This was due to NameBrainDead who put his alt "WMEWA" into the voice chat AFK to keep it going, especially over night. Our high number of new articles is mainly thanks to brickdylan's incredible work on creating the Bedrock Edition pages! The high file count is mainly thanks to Kiz3r who made many amazing renders for the infoboxes and elsewhere! The record high edit count is mainly thanks to Bayugoon's hard work categorizing files!
