When wandering traders were first added, they sold 1 podzol for 3 emeralds. This was changed in 1.12.3 for parity reasons to 3 podzol for 3 emeralds, discontinuing the more expensive trade variant. This is a temporary discontinued feature due to the wandering trader's despawn timer.
Obtaining
Wandering traders that spawn normally in 1.10.3 through 1.12.2 have a 1/6 chance of spawning with a podzol trade. This trade will be in the final trade slot, and it will always be 3 emeralds for 1 podzol.
