When Wandering Traders were first added, they sold large ferns instead of regular ferns. This was changed shortly after, creating a discontinued wandering trader trade. This is a temporary discontinued feature, due to the wandering trader despawn timer.
Obtaining
Wandering Traders that spawn in versions 1.10.3 through 1.11.3 have a roughly 1/11 chance of spawning with the large fern trade, and it can spawn in any of the first three trade positions. In order to keep the trade, the wandering trader should not be loaded in 1.11.4.
