A Nonstandard Java Discontinued Feature is a feature that requires use of nonstandard licensed data packs or editions of Minecraft:Java Edition, nonstandard game modes or world types, or uses 3rd party tools. These features can be controvertial to cover, so should be extremely limited.

Specific Definitions

  • Nonstandard licensed editions of Minecraft:Java Edition refers to MinecraftEdu Edition and Minecraft:China Edition, which are both officially licensed by Mojang.
  • Nonstandard licensed data packs refer to data packs made by Mojang and released along side snapshots or releases, these are used for testing more experimental, or unfinished, features.
  • Nonstandard game modes refer exclusively to Creative Mode. Simply put it refers to a default world created in creative mode, and yes that includes cheats enabled.
  • Nonstandard world types refers exclusively to the default Superflat world type. This is limited only due to the near infinite possibilies of custom worlds and custom superflat worlds, and due to the amplified and large biome world types being near identical to the default world type.
  • Use of 3rd party tools refers to use of file explorers, web browsers, 3rd party launchers, or level conversion tools.
