An External Editing Discontinued Feature is a feature that requires editing files externally of the game. These features only include what is possible with most modern operating system's default file software, this includes copying/cutting and pasting (moving), deleting, and renaming. This DOES NOT include editing with third party software such as NBTEditor or MCEdit. The majority of April Fools' Discontinued Features require external editing. These features may be dangerous, be sure to back up your worlds before attempting!

Many of these features involve renaming or deleting the world's level.dat file, this file is crucial for loading the world. If your world doesn't show in the world loading menu it's either because it was named wrong, or entirely missing. Make sure to follow the instructions provided on feature pages carefully and make back-ups of your worlds.
