Obtaining

All the methods for obtaining this item use a similar method within the same version range of TU1 through TU4.[test] The main concept is to spam click an item inside a block with an inventory while the block is being destroyed.

Singleplayer Block Breaking

This method only works in TU1; whether it works in TU0 or earlier remains unknown. This involves breaking a block with the correct tool, then switching to the incorrect tool when it is nearly broken, for example, mining a furnace with a pickaxe, then switching to an empty hand while mining. The block will finish breaking, but then immediately reappear. After the block reappears, enter the inventory, and spam pick up/place down an item (this can be accomplished simply by holding the "take half" button) inside the block inventory. After a short period of time, the block will disappear, dropping out an item, which has a chance of being the 0 count item. The 0 count item can be decreased further by pressing the "take half" button outside the inventory.

Multiplayer Block Breaking

This method only works in TU1; whether it works in TU0 or earlier remains unknown. This method uses another player to break the block while you are spam picking up and placing an item inside the block's inventory. Since it relies on another player, this method is multiplayer exclusive. Similar to the two previous methods, after the block is broken during the spam clicking, there is a chance the item will drop out with a count of 0, which can then be further decreased by dropping items out of the inventory.

TNT Chest Method

This method works from TU1 through TU4.[test] This involves exploding a chest while spam clicking the item inside. First place an item inside a chest. Then ignite tnt near the chest, and quickly open the chest, move the cursor to the item, and spam pick it up and place it down. This will be noticeably successful, as the item will drop out of the chest twice when broken, with one item behaving oddly. This item has a count of 0, which can then be further decreased by dropping items out of the inventory.
