The Nether Reactor Core is a block that could create Nether Reactors. These would create a structure out of netherrack and spawn various rare items. The functionality and crafting recipe was removed in alpha v0.12.1, with the addition of the Nether. Any existing Nether Reactor Cores remain in the world.
Obtaining
Crafting
The Nether Reactor Core can be crafted from v0.5.0 to alpha v0.12.0 with 3 diamonds and 6 iron.
Mining
Any placed Nether Reactor Cores can be mined with a pickaxe from alpha v0.5.0 to alpha v0.12.0.[test]
Gravity Block Conversion
The Nether Reactor Core can be obtained via gravity block conversion. This method can be done until 1.16.100.
Trivia
- Due to a bug, the Nether Reactor Core uses its texture from the Plastic Texture Pack. It is marked as "Won't Fix".[1]
