Heads have a block item that is normally unobtainable. This block item uses the texture of soul sand and has skull as its display name. The type of head that appears upon placement differs depending on the version. From v0.12.1 alpha build 1 to build 9, this item places creeper heads that have no collision box. In build 10 and later, the item instead places invisible heads. In any version, placement only succeeds if there is a block directly below where the head is being placed.
Obtaining
Silk Touch
From Pocket Edition v0.12.1 alpha build 1 to v0.12.3 alpha, mining any head with a Silk Touch-enchanted tool causes both the skull block item and its regular item form to drop.
