The old Stonecutter was a block used to craft stone based blocks. In v0.13.0, they were made uncraftable due to all of the recipes being moved to the Crafting Table. Any placed old Stonecutters in the world stay, and can still be mined to pick it up.

From v0.6.0 to v0.12.3, they can be crafted with 4 cobblestone.
Gravity Block Conversion
The old Stonecutter can be obtained via gravity block conversion. This method can be done until 1.16.100.
Trivia
- The old Stonecutter was temporarily inside the creative inventory in 1.10.0.3 (beta) if experimental gameplay is turned on.
