Chunk Repopulation is very useful, and can allow for generation of certain structures in areas they would not naturally generate in. This becomes impossible after 1.13, as chunks can't be loaded and unpopulated at the same time.
Chunk Deletion
Chunk Deletion can be done to repopulate the three chunks around the corner of the chunk that faces away from 0 0.
