Green dye is usually obtainable by smelting cactus, but a bug from 18w06a to 18w14a (1.13 snapshots) caused cacti to not smelt. This bug made green dye discontinued in that version range but it was recontinued in 18w14b.
Obtaining
From Beta 1.2 to 18w05a, smelting a cactus results in 1 green dye. The green dye recipe was impossible from 18w06a to 18w14a, making the item discontinued during this version range.[1] Green dye was obtainable again in 18w14b and remains so up to 1.21 (present).
