Java Edition:Green Shrub
Green shrubs are a variant of tall grass with the damage value of 3. It uses the same texture as a dead bush and can be placed on grass blocks and dirt. Green shrubs, unlike regular shrubs are tinted to the color of the biome. Both types of shrubs aren't a part of natural generation but can be collected using shears. Green shrubs convert to dead bushes after 17w47a (1.13 snapshot), however green shrubs that are on grass blocks will turn to dead bushes but remain on a grass block and will not pop off unless the grass block is broken.
Obtaining
Using shears on double high fern in 1.8 snapshots 14w25b-14w30c will drop green shrubs.[1]
Texture
The green shrub uses the missing texture and wasn't tinted after 14w25a, it also displayed as the missing texture when placed in 14w10a.
