Invalid Blocks On End Portal Frames.png

From 1.4.3 to 15w46a (1.9 snapshot), blocks requiring support could be placed on end portal frames, as they were considered full opaque cubes.[1] This can also be replicated later with chunk savestating, chunk regeneration, or update suppression.

Chunk Regeneration

Chunk Regeneration can be used to "place" blocks on the side of an end portal frame along a chunk border if either a block requiring support or an end portal frame is placed from world generation alongside a chunk border.
