Short Lava Streams in the Nether are lava streams that only extend 4 blocks out from the original lava source rather than the usual 8 blocks.
Obtaining
In versions Alpha v1.2.0 to v1.2.0_02, lava placed in the Nether will spread to 4 blocks over time. Natural Nether lava may also generate in a way that will form a 4 block stream.
