Some features on this wiki use Combat Test versions to be obtained, these versions are straight forward in using them. unlike April Fools' versions, worlds can be loaded directly in and out of Combat Test versions without any file editing or world save insertion. These versions are not in the vanilla Minecraft launcher by default, and have to be downloaded from an external source like Minecraft.wiki.

Steps to Play

  • First, download a Combat Test version from here.
  • All of the downloads should include a JSON download which will download a ZIP file.
  • Extract this ZIP file, then move its contents into the Minecraft versions folder.
    • The Minecraft versions folder should be in this file path: C:\Users\yourUser\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions
  • Finally, create a new instance in the launcher, using the version that was placed into the versions folder.
  • The name of the instance should be the same as the name of the versions folder (Combat Test 7 (A fork of 1.16.2) is called 1.16_Combat-1)
