Acacia stairs were added to the game in 1.7. However, they were not craftable at the time because acacia planks had not been added. However, they were possible to obtain though by updating tinted glass from 2.0. They were recontinued the very next version, 1.7.1.
Obtaining
White tinted glass could be obtained in 2.0 by crafting white dye with glass. The white tinted glass then had to be put in a container and left into an unloaded chunk until 1.7. Then when the chest is loaded it will have converted to acacia stairs. The acacia stairs also is obtainable if an invalid data value acacia stair is placed and then mined in 1.7.
