From 13w36a (1.7.2 snapshot), to 1.17.1, a variation of the Badlands (Mesa) biome could generate, called the Badlands Plateau. "[It] featured large flat-topped hills composed of stratified colors of terracotta ranging in warm colors".[1] It was Deleted in 21w40a.
