Every time a player dies or starts a new world in Beta 1.9 Prerelease 3-1, they spawn with a debug inventory that Mojang accidentally didn't remove. This inventory includes 64 enchanting tables, 64 bookshelves, 64 end portal frames and 64 end portals.
Hovering over the end portal item in the player's inventory in Beta 1.9 Prerelease 3-1 will crash the game. Once updated to Beta 1.9 Prerelease 3-2 or later you can hover over the end portal item.
