Java Edition:Dragon egg outside the world border

Before 1.18 Pre-release 1 you were able to get dragon egg outside of the world border

Obtaining

You can get dragon egg outside the world border by placing dragon egg a near the world border and than interact with it (by right clicking/left clicking) and than there is a chance for the dragon egg to teleport outside of the world border
