When Endermites were first added in 14w11a (1.8 snapshot) to 14w27b (1.8 snapshot), there was a chance that it would spawn when an Enderman teleported. This would cause them to not have a player spawned tag. This makes them distinguishable from other Endermites since they will not be attacked by Endermen, unlike ones spawned by Ender Pearls. These were later obtainable again through several dimensions in 20w14∞ where Endermites spawned naturally. An example of one of these dimensions is "a". The player spawned tag is removed in 20w46a making this a deleted discontinued feature.
