Usually, the delete symbol is not obtainable in Minecraft. However, the delete symbol can be obtained in a world name from 1.1 to 1.2.3.

Obtaining

Pressing Ctrl + Backspace when naming a world adds U+007F (DELETE) to the world name while replacing the previous character. This method works when creating a new world or renaming a world.

Combo

The delete symbol can be combined with § in world name in release 1.1 to become colored.
