Invalid Data Value Brown Mushroom Block.png

Invalid Data Value Brown Mushroom Block is an item discontinued feature of brown mushroom blocks with an invalid data value item. This item's data value is normally 0, but using glitches data values from 1 to 15 can be obtained (11-13 need to be verified). This item existed until 17w47a when they would be reverted to regular brown mushroom blocks. This makes invalid data value brown mushroom blocks a removed discontinued feature.

Obtaining

To obtain, a player must first start out in Beta 1.8 Pre-release where endermen were able to hold any block. In this version, an enderman must be manipulated to pick up a brown mushroom block that the player has grown by using bonemeal on a brown mushroom. While there are many available data values are present on the naturally grown brown mushroom block, to obtain the full range of 1-15, block transmutation must be used on the blocks. It is not possible to obtain these blocks in item form at this time, you must either build the transmutation device around the mushroom blocks or push the mushroom blocks into the transmutator in order to transmute it into your desired data value. Once the enderman has picked up the block, the chunk must be saved until 13w16a-15w32c, where the enderman's data must be updated to include HealF to prevent it from dying in later versions. From 15w31a, the enderman can be killed, dropping the block it was carrying, obtaining invalid data value brown mushroom blocks.
