Powered Daylight Sensor in the Nether.png

Normally, daylight sensors never produce power when placed in the Nether. However, there have been two different ways to create powered daylight sensors in the Nether. These are safe to provide block updates to without them changing state, but toggling them to the inverted state and back will reset the powered state to the default.

Placing

From 13w01a (a 1.5 snapshot) to 13w02a, placing a daylight sensor in the Nether leaves them powered. These will always have a power level of 9.

Warning: April Fools'
This feature requires the usage of April Fools' versions, often requiring file renaming or file deletion to load. See the help page for information on loading these versions.

In the April Fools' snapshot 22w13oneBlockAtATime, one can mine a daylight sensor from the Overworld, go to the Nether or End, and throw the daylight sensor as a falling block. When the falling block lands, it will place the daylight sensor with the powered and inverted states it had in the Overworld.
