The Swift Sneak enchantment was briefly discontinued in the snapshots 22w11a and 22w12a (1.19 snapshots) before its recontinuation in 22w13a.
Obtaining
Enchanted books with Swift Sneak can be found in loot chests inside Ancient Cities when they were added in Deep Dark Experimental Snapshot 1. In Deep Dark Experimental Snapshot 1, swift sneak could be applied to boots. Since this is an experimental snapshot, world save insertion or an alternative method is required to update into and out of the version. There are many combinations of enchantments that can be obtained.[test]
Updating
- In 22w11a, the first 1.19 snapshot, Swift Sneak did not exist since the experimental features were not yet ported to the regular snapshots. The enchantment's NBT will remain on any item after updating though. An enchanted book or boots with Swift Sneak will not show the enchantment listed yet can still have the enchantment glint if it was the only enchantment applied.
- In 22w12a, the Swift Sneak enchantment was re-added but was still discontinued because Ancient Cities did not generate in this snapshot and so Swift Sneak was unobtainable. 22w12a also changed Swift Sneak to be applied to leggings instead of boots meaning Swift Sneak boots no longer have a function.
- In 22w13a and later, Swift Sneak is recontinued and can be found in Ancient City loot chests.
