Java Edition:Waterlogged Lit Campfire
The waterlogged and lit campfire has two conflicting block states. This currently discontinued block is both on fire and under water. There are a regular campfire and soul campfire variants. The block is obtainable in three version ranges. First from 19w08a to 19w09a (1.14 snapshots), later from 1.14.1 Pre-Release 2 to 1.14.1, and finally in 22w13oneBlockAtATime.
Obtaining
Fire Charge
From 19w08a to 19w09a (1.14 snapshots), the waterlogged lit campfire can be obtained using the fire charge item.[1] A player simply right-clicking on a waterlogged campfire with a fire charge item would light it. This does not work with flint and steel.
Flaming Arrow
From 1.14.1 Pre-Release 2 to 1.14.1, a flaming arrow was capable of lighting a waterlogged campfire.[2] In order for the arrow to collide the campfire while flaming, it must be shot from the side to make sure the arrow is not extinguished.
Enderman Spawning
Endermen that spawn in the April Fools' version 22w13oneBlockAtATime can spawn carrying waterlogged lit campfires. This is the only method that also works on the soul campfire. The water does not render around the campfire when the enderman is holding it. The enderman can place this block to obtain it in block form. If the enderman gives the block to the player or dies it will not preserve the waterlogged state.
There's a 1/902 chance an enderman will spawn carrying a campfire, 1/2 chance it will be lit, and 1/2 chance it will be waterlogged. This gives a 1/3608 of an enderman carrying a waterlogged lit campfire. There's an equal chance of 1/3608 that it holds a waterlogged lit soul campfire. This gives a combined total odds of 2/3608=1/1804 that it will carry either waterlogged lit campfire upon spawning.
Combos
The block is also obtainable in the Nether if water in the Nether has previously been obtained.
