Although not many edits were done on the actual WMEDA day, many were accomplished before and after especially thanks to the effort of User:Captain_S0L0!

WMEDA #32

Thank you everyone who joined the 32nd Wiki Day Extravaganza on 1 April, 2023! This WMEDA happened on April Fools', and Mojang dropped the AMAZING 23w13a_or_b snapshot on this day. It made for an incredibly fun and chaotic day. We made unprecedented discoveries (we had 56 new ones in our #java-discoveries channel!) including the absurdly overpowered Any NBT on Any Item. A lot of work is still required to update the wiki with this new info!

WMEDA #34

Thank you everyone who joined the 34th Wiki Day Extravaganza on 10 June, 2023 (going into 11 June, 2023)! This was our first WMEDA with our new admins User:sebbog and User:TreeIsLife! TreeIsLife's clean up edits across the wiki made a huge contribution during this WMEDA along with Bayu's technical changes! (Only in retrospect, we now know that this WMEDA became the last one on the Miraheze site as well)

WMEDA #35

Thank you everyone who joined the 35th Wiki Day Extravaganza on 15 July, 2023 (lasted until 17 July, 2023)! This WMEDA was a great success seeing 10+ participants talking for long times and lasting all weekend! This WMEDA was especially important because it was the 1st (hopefully of many) WMEDAs to be held on wiki.gg instead of Miraheze! Miraheze has been a great host for our wiki for three years but we made this move after the announcement that Miraheze was closing on 15 June. We were glad to hear the decision was later retracted and Miraheze was continuing on June 19. We continued with the move process because of fear about the long-term stability and the fact we had already begun cooperating with our current host to move on 17 June. wiki.gg also provide a fantastic platform for our wiki and we hope we can continue on here for years to come! Another first of this WMEDA, Kiz announced it for the first time, who was promoted to Discord mod 2 weeks prior. Participants on voice chat during this WMEDA included CrumbledHam, Joey, Kiz, absence, SprainedSpark89, scam.net, bluecrab2, Lucius (formerly greencrab6), Phantazap, and Tirdul. User:FireX420 made the most edits!

WMEDA #36

Thank you everyone who joined the 36th Wiki Day Extravaganza on 19 August, 2023! This WMEDA is a milestone because it represents three years worth of WMEDA (our WMEDAversary will be next month). The MVE (Most Valuable Editor) was definitely User:FireX420 again! FireX420 fixed double redirects and created a Block Replacement Bypass page for Bedrock Edition, including equivalent pictures to the ones on Java Edition.

WMEDA #37

Thank you everyone who joined the 37th Wiki Day Extravaganza on 9 September 2023 (going into 10 September, 2023)! This was our third WMEDAversary, with our first WMEDA happening nearly three years ago on 12 September, 2020. This WMEDA was a great success, with upwards of 9 people in the voice chat for a long time! Although there were fewer edits, the edits had a higher average byte difference compared with last WMEDA. Also during the event, User:LPT4's Bedrock Debug Commands resource and User:Bluecrab2MC's A or B Unique Item Names resource were posted or created. This WMEDA also boasts the second highest new user count of any WMEDA (only beaten by WMEDA #24 in August 2022 with 14 new users)! This large influx was caused by notifications sent to unmigrated Miraheze accounts to inform them to migrate the account before the Miraheze wiki is closed.

WMEDA #38

Thank you everyone who joined the 38th Wiki Day Extravaganza on 31 October 2023! This spooky Halloween WMEDA was planned to be small. Our main voice chat event for October was the Minecraft Live watch stream. We watched exciting new features for 1.21 including crafters and trial chambers. Then we all witnessed the tragedy of the armadillo winning the vote instead of the crab. Regardless, we still had a few edits for this WMEDA that was kept alive for a long time by User:Sl1mJ1m!

WMEDA #40

Thank you everyone who joined the 40th Wiki Day Extravaganza on 30 December 2023 (going into 31 December 2023)! This milestone WMEDA was the last for 2023. We were able to fix several rendering bugs in dark mode. We also got infobox images to appear on Discord when links are put in messages. User:FireX420 earned MVE (Most Valuable Editor) again with 23 of our edits!
