Other ways to obtain reserved6

Large update corruption (Creative)

Upon updating a world from Pocket Edition v0.1.0 alpha - v0.1.3 alpha to v0.10.1 alpha or later, the world's type is changed from old to infinite. New chunks can generate corrupted and sometimes contain a large amount of reserved6 blocks, though reserved6 generation usually does not occur. This method is only locked behind Creative mode due to it being the only existing game mode during the pre-upgrade range.

Invalid data value buckets (Commands)

Due to how buckets were implemented in v0.7.0, it is possible to have them place down blocks besides water or lava by setting their data value to a number that matches the numeric ID of an existing block. IDV buckets are not known to be obtainable without external editing until the introduction of commands in v0.16.0 alpha build 1. To obtain a bucket that places down reserved6, the following command needs to be run: /give @s bucket 1 255. Any reserved6 blocks placed with this bucket can then be mined to obtain the true reserved6 item. The ability to obtain IDV buckets with commands was removed in alpha 0.17.0.1, though any existing buckets are still functional.

Palleted chunk corruption (Downgrading)

obligatory crash/corruption warning

By downgrading subchunks saved under the level format introduced in Bedrock Edition beta 1.2.13.5 to 1.2.11 or earlier, these subchunks become corrupted and are replaced with garbage data, which can allow reserved6 to appear in them. It has been theorized that it is possible to control which blocks appear in these corrupted subchunks, but this has not been sufficiently tested.

In order to perform this downgrade, there are two values that need to be changed in level.dat: NetworkVersion, which needs to be changed to 201 or lower, and StorageVersion, which needs to be changed to 6 or lower.
