In the April Fools' Snapshot oneBlockAtATime, it was possible to have minecarts contain any block in the game.
Obtaining
First, you must get a minecart entity on the floor. Next, right click the minecart with whatever block you are holding. You now have whatever you were holding in the minecart. This is a simple trick that can be easily done in this interesting snapshot.
