Terrain Discontinued Feature 
This page covers Discontinued Terrain generation. These features' discontinued aspect is conditional. In order for these features to truly be discontinued certain conditions have to be met.

In 21w13a, End height was changed, causing End islands to stretch to abnormal heights.[1] As end spikes and end gateways' placements don't depend from the terrain around, they end up completely buried inside the island. Outer islands' terrain generating up to Y190 caused end cities to get abruptly cut off at max build height. It also influenced the ender dragon's behavior causing it to not perch and not interact with end crystals after getting to the top of the central island. This change wasn't intended and was removed in the next snapshot.

Obtaining

This effect can be obtained by discovering End islands in new chunks in 21w13a.
