Java Edition:Classic

From Minecraft Discontinued Features Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Classic was the second development phase of Minecraft. It was split into creative and survival tests, each with their own glitches. Some many consider the use of creative in these versions cheating, as you had an infinite supply of many items. Classic worlds are not normally able to be updated to modern versions, due to their use of a unique level format. There are external tools which allow conversion of worlds into a more modern format, making them playable in current versions.
