This article is about leaves with ID leaves2 used for acacia and dark oak leaves. For leaves with ID leaves used for oak, spruce, birch and jungle leaves, see Invalid Data Value Leaves.

Invalid data value leaves2 are an alternate variant of leaves created for the new leaf types with invalid data values. Data values 4, 5, 8 and 9 can be obtained using shears and Silk Touch but data values 2 and 3 require block transmutation. The data value on the leaves2 was removed in 17w47a (1.13 snapshot), making it a deleted discontinued feature. Placing these leaves may result in a crash.

Obtaining

Data Values 2 and 3

To get data values 2 and 3, data value 0 leaves2 must be transmuted using the arrow transmutation method. The leaves must be grown naturally from an acacia tree, as this is the only way to get data value 0 leaves2. After the leaves have been transmuted, they can be collected using shears.

Data Values 4 and 5

From 14w25a to 14w28a, acacia and dark oak leaves collected using shears would drop the 4th and 5th data value variant.[1]

Data Values 8 and 9

From 14w25a to 14w30b, acacia and dark oak leaves collected using a Silk Touch tool would drop the 8th and 9th data value variant.[2]
