EntityTag spawn eggs are pig spawn eggs with an empty extra EntityTag. Due to The Flattening, all spawn eggs updated from 11w49a to 1.10.2 into 17w47b to 18w16a will convert to pig spawn eggs with an empty EntityTag.
Obtaining
Obtaining the EntityTag spawn egg is simple and can be done in two steps.
- First, the player must first obtain a spawn egg from any version from 11w49a (1.1 snapshot ) to 1.10.2 (1.10 release). This can be done using B Creative Mode.
- The world then needs to be updated into 17w47b to 18w16a (1.13 snapshots).
All loaded spawn eggs in inventories, storage blocks and as entities will then convert to EntityTag spawn eggs. If the spawn eggs are not wanted to be converted, they must be placed in unloaded chunks until versions after 18w16a.
