An Indirect Observable Discontinued Feature is a feature that requires specific, nondestructive, tests to determine whether it's discontinued.

Current features are categorized by their observability in the latest version, deleted features by their observability in the last version they exist in, and recontinued features by their observability in the latest version they are discontinued in.

Specific Definitions

A discontinued feature is indirectly observable if:

  • The player can directly view it, but additional testing is needed to differentiate it from a normal feature.
    • For blocks, the discontinued state of the block is only visible in the F3 debug screen.
    • For items, the discontinued state is visible when hovering over it in the inventory while tooltips are enabled, using F3 + H.
    • For entities, the discontinued state needs to be confirmed through nondestructive tests.
