Luck Effect.png

The luck effect is a status effect which is normally unobtainable in survival mode, and increases the chances of a bonus_roll and the quality of items obtained from loot tables

Obtaining

The luck effect is partially derived from luck items such as a Potion of Luck, Splash Potion of Luck, Lingering Splash Potion of Luck, Arrow of Luck, or through commands. The luck effect can be applied to most mobs, but only functions when applied to the player. The only loot tables to use quality are fishing loot tables, the higher quality an item has the more likely it is for the player to fish it up.

23w13a_or_b Votes

The April Fools' version 23w13a_or_b introduced several methods to obtain normally unobtainable features.

  • The perma_effect vote, when applied, will permanently grant all players an effect between level I (1) and VI (6).

The perma_effect vote allows all players to receive the luck effect with an amplifier between I (1) and VI (6) for an infinite amount of time. This can be combined with the Bottle of Void item (unique to this version) to turn these effects into potions, these potions can then be updated out of 23w13a_or_b and be used to apply the effect for an infinite amount of time, however attempting to brew these potions into splash potions will cause the potion to convert into an splash uncraftable potion.

24w14potato Enchanted Golden Poisonous Potato

In the April Fools' version 24w14potato the player could temporarily obtain the Luck V (5) effect for 5 minutes by eating an Enchanted Golden Poisonous Potato. Enchanted Golden Poisonous Potatoes are crafted using 8 blocks of gold surrounding a poisonous potato
