Java Edition:Invalid Mob Wearing Armor

From Minecraft Discontinued Features Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Normally, only specific mobs are allowed to wear armor, but there is a method to get any mob wearing armor.

Obtaining

To obtain any mob wearing armor, the player needs to obtain a spawn egg of the mob which is being given armor, then the player must locate a trial spawner of a mob which can normally wear armor (such as a zombie or skeleton), and be affected by the bad omen effect (later becomes the trial omen effect). Once these prerequisites have been obtained, the player can begin to spawn any mob wearing armor so long as the ominous trial spawner is active.

To get any mob to spawn with armor, with the trial omen effect and your spawn egg of choice in hand, approach a trial spawner which will be converted into an ominous trial spawner once in range. Once the trial spawner becomes an ominous trial spawner, the player can right click on the ominous trial spawner with a spawn egg which will allow the ominous trial spawner to spawn the mob corresponding with the spawn egg that was used.

Spawning Conditions

Certain mobs have different spawning conditions that must be met before the mob can be spawned, these spawning conditions include having a certain light level around the ominous trial spawner, or having a specific block that the mob can spawn on such as grass blocks for passive mobs or water for aquatic mobs. If these spawning conditions are not met, the ominous trial spawner will be unable to spawn the mobs until the conditions are met.
