Wandering traders normally despawn naturally, but in the April Fools' snapshot 20w14∞, any wandering traders spawned in another dimension wouldn't despawn.

Obtaining

Any wandering traders that spawned naturally in another dimension will have a despawn delay of 0. Paired with a name tag, this will make the wandering trader not despawn. Wandering traders normally despawn after 48000 ticks / 40 minutes / 2 Minecraft days. Finding a wandering trader in another dimension is difficult due to the invisibility used by the wandering traders at night as well as when afraid. Currently, the best dimensions are "5466788" followed by "soul fire". Turning subtitles on may help the player locate them.
