The End is a dimension that is accessed through the end portal. However, some versions had bugs that made it impossible for the player to progress to The End.

Obtaining

16w02a

In 16w02a, filling the end portal frame with eyes didn't create end portal blocks inside, making it impossible to travel to The End.[1]

21w37a

In 21w37a, Strongholds do not generate, and all blocks from old chunks are deleted, making it impossible to travel to The End.[2] This bug was fixed in the next version, 21w38a, recontinuing The End. If you have end portal frames from an earlier version, The End can still be traveled to.
