Java Edition:Uncraftable Items Crafted Statistic
A crafting statistic only exists for items that are craftable. However, there have been various methods of obtaining crafting statistics for uncraftable items. Before 17w47a the game did not register a crafting statistic for an uncraftable item, except when damage values were involved. Any of these methods can be used in versions 20w06a (1.16 snapshot) or earlier to theoretically combine it with negative statistics although this takes a significant period of time.
Statistics Not Registering Data Values
From 13w36a to 17w46a, certain items were distinguished by data values. Statistics did not consider the data value, which meant crafting an item would only increase the crafting statistic for the base item. There are two examples of this being used to get uncraftable crafting statistics. During this period of time, crafting any dye would result in the ink sac crafting statistic increasing. Additionally, from 14w25a to 17w46a, crafting coarse dirt would increase the statistic for dirt crafted. This dirt crafted statistic would always be in multiples of four unless it's combined with the Drop or Right-click method for incorrect multiple crafting statistics.
Furnace Output Slot
The crafting statistic does not actually count the action of crafting, instead it counts when the item is taken from the output slot of either a crafting table or furnace. Therefore, any item taken out of the output slot of a furnace adds to the crafting stat of that item. If items are placed in a furnace output slot by any means (See invalid items in furnace slot page for more details), and then taken out in any version from 17w47a to 24w38a (present) the item will increase the respective crafting statistic. Below is a list of all uncraftable items that can be placed in the output slot of a furnace.

Trading Registers as Crafting
Due to a bug,[3] trading from a villager or wandering trader actually increases the crafting statistic for that respective item. So, for example, if you traded for a bell, the crafting statistic for the bell would increase. This works from 17w47a to 24w38a (present), meaning this is a future discontinued feature. Below is a collapsible list.
