Java Edition:Invalid Data Value Cactus (Item)
Invalid Data Value Cacti are a type of invalid data value item. Due to this item not normally having different data values, it is able to be duplicated by first throwing normal cacti, and then picking them up with an invalid data value cacti in your inventory. This can be done from 15w31a to 16w21b.
Invalid data values can also merge into normal cacti and other invalid data values, meaning that you can lose data values if you have a different data value in your inventory, and pick up another. If you want to collect all 15 variants, you must put them in a chest first before picking new data values up.
Obtaining
Obtaining an invalid data value cactus is simple, and only takes two steps.
- First, enderman must pick up a cactus block that is in a state of growth.
- Once it is picked up, the enderman must be killed. Endermen must pick up a cactus block that is in a state of growth.
This will result in the enderman dropping an invalid data value cactus. The growth stage is effectively random, so to get all 15 variants, patience is required.
