A Temporary Discontinued Feature is a discontinued feature that can only be loaded for a certain amount of time before it is deleted. Current features are categorized by their permanence in the latest version, deleted features by their permanence in the last version they exist in, and recontinued features by their permanence in the latest version they are discontinued in.

How to Retain

Temporary features can last from 0.05 seconds to 3.4 years. To retain these features follow these general guidelines:

  • For player features, the only way to retain these is to apply them to an alternate account and never log in again as that account.
  • For entities, the entity can be stored in unloaded chunks.

These features can become Destructively Observable features if they are loaded again.

  • For players, this means the alternate account needs to log back into the world.
  • For entities, this means the chunks which the entity is present in has to be loaded.
